Thailand
Phuket
I was on an island for most of my time here so I didn’t really get to explore.
Port of Call

A bar at the Ao Po Grand Marina (get your ‘Ahoy Matey’ Untappd badge). Not really a craft beer bar per se, but it did stock one local craft beer which is a rare find. Chalawan Pale Ale, by Full Moon Brew Works, was one of only two Thai craft beers I found. A welcome change from Thai lager.
Chiang Mai
I was surprised to find any craft beer in Chiang Mai, but there are a few options. It will cost you though. Occasionally I did see a Chiang Mai Brewing Company beer. Tough to find out any more about them though (their website just says ‘coming soon’). The Red Truck IPA is worth a try.
Beer Lab
Visited May 2016
This place is a proper craft beer hub in Chiang Mai. With 20 taps and hundreds of bottles to choose from all over the world. It is a chilled out place with god food and good music (although I am pretty sure I heard the same playlist every time). Expensive though.
Beer Republic
Visited June 2016
A cool little corner bar in Chiang Mai. It boasts 15 taps with beers from around the world. It is mostly European beers from the UK, Germany and Belgium. Relaxed vibe and not a bad menu. Slightly pricey.
Rimping
Visited May 2016
Rimping is a supermarket in the bottom of the Maya shopping centre. Their beer fridge always has a few craft beers. In my time in Chiang Mai I have managed to pick up different craft beers from Germany, USA, New Zealand and Australia.
